Redundant RS-485 Rings supports Critical Fire Alarm Network

The Company has recently installed 37 redundant RS-485 serial transmission to support a highly critical fire alarm detection system around one of the UK’s largest ports. The sophisticated serial transmission devices ensure continuiity of operation in the event of a fibre failure by automatically detecting a loss of signal and re-routing the signal through the remaining avialable nodes.
